Government of Nepal and the Government of Switzerland have signed a bilateral agreement to initiate a SMALL IRRIGATION PROGRAMME (SIP) – PHASE I, in nine districts of Nepal namely Ramechhap, Okhaldhunga, Khotang, Udayapur, Sindhuli, Achham, Dailekh, Jajarkot and Kalikot. Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) will provide a financial and technical supports to Government of Nepal (GoN) represented by Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development (MoFALD) and its Department of Local Infrastructure and Agricultural Roads (DoLIDAR).

Joint-Venture (JV) of GEOCE Consultants (P) Ltd., Total Management Services Pvt Ltd. (TMS) and Aviyaan Consulting (P) Ltd, has set up a – TA team on behalf of SDC. In order to supplement its team, the JV is now seeking applications from the qualified and experienced Nepali Nationals for the following positions:
1.

Position : SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

Duty Station : Dailekh and Jajarkot District

Qualifications & experience :

• Bachelor’s Degree in a development field (sociology, anthropology or rural development) with preferably 5 years working experience in development projects in social issues, in rural development and participatory project planning and preparation methodologies, including social surveys and skills in social and poverty analysis, and rapid rural appraisal techniques.

Position : ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (Female Only)

Duty Station : Kathmandu District

Qualifications & experience :

• Higher Secondary Level with 3 years’ experience in the administrative task. She should have very good knowledge of computer-based applications, viz. Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. She shall have good command over spoken and written English.

Position : SUB ENGINEER

Job Openings : 1

Duty Station : Kathmandu District with frequent visit to 9 project district

Qualifications & experience :

• IE/ Diploma in civil engineering from a recognized university or Diploma in Civil Engineering from CTEVT. Minimum of 5 years’ general professional experience with at least one-year experience in planning/ design/construction of irrigation schemes. Experience in the use of GPS survey methodologies and knowledge in use of GIS and AutoCAD software will be an asset.
