ChildFund Japan is an international non-profit development organization which has a legal entity in Nepal and has been working for children in Sindhupalchowk and Ramechhap districts in partnership with local NGOs. It is looking for a competent Nepalese citizen for the following positions.

Program Director – (1) post, Kathmandu based

General Objectives of this position: 

Program Director is responsible for strategic direction setting, overall planning, management and implementation of ChildFund program in Nepal, working in collaboration with the partner NGOs. Also responsible for developing and implementing M&E systems for the program and all grant project, provide strong leadership proactively developing capacity of NO and partner NGO staff in program implementation and situation analysis.

Required qualification: 

• At least 7 years working experience with INGO/development agency in a management role
• Master’s degree in Social Science or related discipline
• Demonstrated capacity in designing, implementation, monitoring and evaluating projects
• Experience in grant acquisition, project proposals preparation and workplan and budget including grant acquisition experience
• Ability to solve complex problems and to exercise independent judgement. 
• Understanding of international humanitarian standards and guidelines
