Nepal Cancer Relief Society (NCRS) is a non-profitable social organization that has been working to prevent, control and cure cancer in Nepal since last 34 years. Under preventive programs it conducts several awareness activities as well as cancer screening camps targeting the rural people to save their life from cancer through early detection. Under curative approach, NCRS is running Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital (a 110 bedded cancer hospital with chemotherapy, radiotherapy, surgery and palliative care services) as well as Lahan Cancer Care Center. NCRS has 42 district branches with approximately 10,000 volunteers nationwide.
Nepal Cancer Relief Society is going to organize an International Cancer Conference. We are thus looking for energetic and trustworthy candidates for the following position:
Position: Communication Officer – 1
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors in Mass Communications, Public Relation, Journalism, BBA/BBS, BIT or any other related field with 1 year of experience.
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office packages, Photoshop, E-mail and internet
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Typing skills in both English and Nepali languages
- Ability to function as a self-starter with limited supervision
- Must have good interpersonal skills to deal with a diverse group of contacts.
- Prior experience in organizing a conference is an advantage.
- Possessing a two wheelers license is an advantage.
