In 2015 AWO International implemented 14 Projects in Nepal and India and Bangladesh and 1 Earthquake Relief Program with nine sub-projects, benefiting more than 50.000 victims of the devastating earthquakes of 25th April and 7th May 2015 in Nepal.AWO International’s development and Disaster Risk Management (DRM) projects are implemented in long and mid-term partnerships with civil society organizations in context of pro-poor, results-based development interventions and organizational development. The new strategic focus of AWO International,”Labour Migration and Human Trafficking” is also a field of thematic core expertise of AWO in Germany.In addition to the regular project interventions short term relief projects are implemented in context of humanitarian aid. From 2014 onwards a regional humanitarian aid chapter is established.
