In this process the bank requires a pool of competent Human Resource to surpass the targeted quality growth in an effective, efficient and sustainable manner.

The Bank would like to request for applications from competent Nepalese candidates in positions mentioned below. The respective candidates should have innate qualities including but not limited to team player, positive attitude and strive for quality performance.

Position: Trade Finance Department – Managerial Level

Trade Finance Department – Managerial Level

Required Qualification:

• Candidate must have masters degree from recognized university.
• Candidate must have minimum 5 years of experience in commercial Bank with exposure in related filed.
Major Roles and Responsibility:

• Monitor/supervise Trade Finance Department facilitating trade related transactions of all branches of the bank across the nation, under Centralized Banking System.
• Ensure efficient and effective operation of Import, Export and Guarantee units of the bank in order to support the business objectives of the bank ensuring compliance and good governance with internal policies, International Guidelines, Central Bank Directives and other relevant statutory Policies and Regulations.
• Ensure efficient and effective service to all branches thus ensuring high level of customer satisfaction.
• Ensure necessary upgrade of SWIFT Alliance System and ensure high level of SWIFT security system.
• Ensure quick response, minimization of operation cost, consistence in work flow of the department.
• Design and conduct training for development of peer members and subordinates working in the department and across the branches and helping them enhance their knowledge/competencies in the work area.


Position: IT Department- Managerial Level

IT Department- Managerial Level

• Candidate must have Master’s Degree in related field.
• Candidate must have minimum 5 years of experience in commercial Bank with exposure in related filed.

Key roles and responsibilities:

• Develop and regularly maintain the strategic IT Plan and facilitate its implementation.
• Identify, compare and select technology that best suits the Bank’s business requirements and is appropriate to achieve the IT objectives identified in IT plan.
• To oversee and monitor all IT related affairs and ensure smooth uninterrupted IT operation in the Bank.
• Identify and recommend computer aided project management and job accounting tools for use by ITD & other business groups.
• Specify physical data definition and change physical data definition to improve performance.
• Support the Bank with Core Banking System related issues, both functional, as well as, systems related.
• Work continuously to improve the MIS of CBS to facilitate other Branches and Departments.
• Conduct training on CBS to Branches including new staff on a regular basis.
• Risk Management of IT assets of the Bank and enforce IT security and control procedures.
• Take lead role in developing new program/s for the Bank; Coordinate without bounded service (outsider) as well as other personnel/Departments for the purpose.
• Adhere to Disaster Recovery Plan as well as Business Continuity Plan of the Bank to ensure protection against massive data/financial losses.
• As per the requirement of Corresponding Banking Department, Bilateral Key Exchange/Relationship Management with different banks around the world to exchange authenticated SWIFT messages.
• Maintain Data recovery system.


Position: Remittance Department-Managerial Level

Remittance Department- Managerial Level

• Candidate must have masters degree from recognized university.
• Candidate must have minimum 5 years of experience in related filed (marketing of International Remittance Business).

Key roles and responsibilities:

• To expand international remittance portfolio from prospective global locations
• To build rapport with prospective international remittance business partners
• Relentless solicitation of remittance business from all possible international locations
• Continuously seek and solicit remittance correspondents as per banks business needs.
• To promote Suryodaya Remit both locally and internationally.
• Establish correspondent banking relationship for remittance business and to undergo correspondence regarding various queries whenever required.
• Continuously seek avenues to establish remittance arrangements in various countries where Nepali workers are ample.
• Seek and continuously develop knowledge and information about competitor activity, pricing and tactics, regarding remittance and communicate this to management.
• To follow up various enquires by post, mails or telephone both to and with international and domestic partners


Position: Bancassurance Unit- Officer Level

Bancassurance Unit- Officer Level

Key roles and responsibilities:

• Candidate must have Master’s Degree from recognized university
• Candidate must have 2 years of experience in commercial Bank with exposure in related field or 4 years of experience in Insurance (both Life/Nonlife) field.
o Achieve Budgeted Insurance Sales number and hit sales targets by successfully managing the Sales Team.
o Coaching and performance monitoring of the Sales Team.
o Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationship by partnering with them and understanding their needs.
o Ensure high quality and high persistency of business generated to support long-term profitability of the Bank


Position: General Service Department-Officer Level

General Service Department- Officer Level

• Candidate must have 2 years of experience in financial institution with engineering background

Key roles and responsibilities:

• Project feasibility/Market/Environmental Studies and Property evaluation.
• Check and analyze Bank’s Project Drawing, BOQ (Bill of Quantity) and Design as prepared by Bank’s Consultant.
• Prepare Bank’s project Drawing, BOA (Bill of Quantity) and Design as and when required.
• Monitoring and verification of the works carried out by Contractors as per the standard mentioned in the BOQ.
• Prepare the progress report of Bank project works.
• Ensure progress of project is as per the approved schedule/Drawings
• Visit to the site of Bank’s Project and submit the progress report of the same on need basis.
• Verification of the bills submitted by the Contractors/Consultants.
• Other works as assigned by the Bank.
