PHASE Nepal is a not for profit NGO established in 2006 by a group of development professionals dedicated to supporting poor communities in remote areas of Nepal. For the last 12 years PHASE Nepal has been implementing Health, Education and Livelihoods improvement programmes in Humla, Bajura, Mugu, Gorkha and Sindhupalchok districts. Currently, PHASE Nepal’s projects health, education, livelihoods and reconstruction are funded by number of institutional and individual donors from different countries. PHASE has over 140 staff working for different projects. PHASE Nepal is currently in need of the following staff members:
1.Position: Logistics and Procurement Officer – 1
Duty Station: PHASE Office, Bhaktapur (with occasional field visit)
Basic salary and Benefits: NRS 44,970 per month (basic starting salary scale) plus 10% provident fund after three months of probation period, one month’s salary as festival bonus after working for a year plus medical facility and insurance.
Qualification and Experience:
- The candidate should have completed Bachelor’s degree in management or equivalent with 2 years of experience in similar capacity in development sector. Should have good reporting and documentation skill. Proficient in Microsoft office packages with excellent verbal & written communication skill in English and Nepali language.
Responsibilities:
This position will be responsible for planning, monitoring, and implementation of overall logistics processes including purchasing, warehousing, transportation, and customer services. Maintain complete record of movements of all stock items and ensure that balance in the books reflect the physical stock. Maintain files for monthly stock report, signed delivery order, and Goods Receive Note (GRN).
2.Position: Staff Nurse
No. Required: 4
Duty Station: Project area based in one of the government health posts in Gorkha, Sindhupalchok, Humla, Bajura or Mugu districts.
Qualifications: Staff nurse course passed.
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of work experience in clinical setting, seeing patients, providing nursing care, providing safer mother hood cares, delivery services, new born care, HMIS recording, reporting and documentation. Candidates who have worked with the government hospitals, PHC or health posts, have received SBA training and having good computer skill will be given priority.
Salary and Benefits: NPR 30,000 – 35,000 per month, plus 10% provident fund after three months of probation period, one month’s salary as festival bonus after working for a year plus medical facility and insurance. Staff also get food and remoteness allowances based on the district they are posted (remoter the district higher the amount).
Responsibilities:
The Staff Nurse will work together with the government health workers in the respective health posts or health clinics. This will involve both curative as well as preventive health services. They will provide health education sessions to the beneficiaries of the catchment area of the health post / clinic.
3.Position: Health Assistant
No. Required: 3
Duty Station: Project area based in one of the government health posts in Gorkha, Sindhupalchok, Humla, Bajura or Mugu districts.
Qualifications:
- Health Assistant Course passed.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience of working in clinical setting seeing patients, HMIS recording, reporting and documentation. Candidates who have worked with the government hospitals, PHC or health posts and having a good computer skill will be given priority.

4.Position: Trainee Staff Nurse/HA
No. Required : 3
DUTY STATION: PHASE Project Districts
Qualification and Experience:
Should have completed staff nurse or HA with minimum six months of working experience in community health programs. (Candidates who have worked independently in government sub-health-posts or independently running sub-health post are given high priority.)
SALARY: NPR. 20,000- 30,000 /- per month
