CARE Nepal is an international humanitarian organization working in the country for the past 40 years. It currently works in 60 districts through various programs on issues relating to improving the lives of the poorest and most vulnerable populations through programs that work on the following themes: food security and climate change; emergency preparedness and DRR; sexual reproductive and maternal health; gender based violence; women and girls’ leadership. Marginalized Women and Adolescent Girls are our two primary impact groups. Core priorities include investment in the empowerment and leadership of women and girls, reaching hard to reach population, good governance and accountability, working in partnership and alliance with like-minded actors, and evidencebased advocacy.
CARE Nepal hereby invites applications, for the below mentioned positions from interested and qualified Nepalese candidates.
Earthquake Response and Recovery Program
1. Senior Researcher (based in Gorkha)
The Senior Researcher will lead the research project between CARE Nepal and the University of New South Wales, Australia on the issues of Disaster Justice in Gorkha district. The research initiative will be supported as part of CARE’s earthquake recovery program and focus on gender impact of the earthquake recovery process.
2. MEAL Specialist (based in Gorkha)
The MEAL Specialist will lead the implementation of MEL system in Gorkha and Dhading districts and support in the M&E efforts by strengthening existing MEL systems, adapting and implementing data collection and analysis tools, mechanisms and systems based on a coherent monitoring framework.
3. Database Management Associate (based in Gorkha)
The Database Management Associate will be responsible for managing all humanitarian and development projects database of 2 districts (Dhading and Gorkha) and will lead in consolidation and analysis of data in supervision of MEAL Specialist.
Strengthening Access to Fair and Equitable Justice Project
1. Social Norms Specialist (based in Kathmandu)
The Social Norms Specialist will be responsible for providing technical support to the SAFE Justice project team including partners in the community through REFLECT and school based program to change social norms of adolescent boys and girls.
Integrated Platform for Gender Based Violence Prevention and Response Project
1. Senior Capacity Building Specialist (based in Kathmandu)
The overall responsibility of the Senior Capacity Building Specialist is to provide capacity building support to staff at National Women’s Commission (NWC), Project Implementation Unit (PIU) and partner service provider organizations under the IPGBVPR project. The primary focus of the support is to enhance their understanding on GBV issues and protocols, and strengthen current practices in GBV response.
2. Senior Bahaviour Change Communications & Outreach Specialist (based in Kathmandu)
The incumbent will be responsible for providing Behavior Change Communication (BCC) and Outreach support to the IPGBVPR project, NWC staff and those from its partner organizations. The primary focus of the incumbent’s support will be to strengthen the BCC and Outreach component of the project to ensure achievement of the programs change outcomes.
