Nepal CRS Company (CRS) is a not-for-profit organization engaged in social marketing of family planning, maternal child health and other health products in Nepal. Its mission is to improve the national health status by changing behavior and increasing access to health products and services.

Position: Procurement Manager (1)

Job Location: Head Office, Kathmandu

Age: below 50 years

The incumbent is responsible for handling all procurement related activities of the organization. Procurement Manager will manage the company’s requirement of commodities and services. Procurement Manager‘s responsibilities include strategizing to find cost-efficient procurement of  commodities and services under specified time while ensuring the compliance related to company’s procurement policy, donor requirement and Public Procurement Act (where applicable).

Minimum Qualification: MBA or equivalent degree

Minimum Experience: 5 years of experience of procurement activities

Additional/Preferred Experience: Experience of procurement activities related to private, public or donor funded organization or in a company of similar size and similar nature. Working experience at managerial level will be highly preferred

Required Competencies/Skills/others: 

  • Able to draft and develop independently; Contract Document, Bid Document and technical specification required for the operational product and capital goods
  • Financial Management skills, Technical Capacity skills, Communication Proficiency, Problem Solving/Analysis skills, Decision Making skills
  • Able to articulate, analyze, comply and implement the mandates mentioned in the Donor agreement and Procurement Policy
  • Knowledge of USAID procurement rules will be preferred
  • Note: For internal candidates the eligibility criteria will be as per the provision in Employee Service By-laws, 2071.

The post type will be on Contract basis until April 20, 2020 with possibility of extension upon satisfactory performance and contingent to the extension of the funding.


Position: Quality Assurance Officer (3)

Job Type: Contractual (Renewal)

Duty Station: Biratnagar, Bagmati and Dhangadi with extensive travel to remote areas

Age: below 40 years

Role and Responsibility:

The incumbent is responsible for supporting the quality of family planning care at CRS Sangini outlets through onsite monitoring of services at Sangini outlets in their respective assigned areas via performance of Technical Support Visits (TSV). Priority is given to outlets in the GGMS districts, which require travel to the hills and mountains districts. During the TSV the QAO is responsible for providing assessment of the quality of family planning care at Sangini outlets, identification of quality gaps and provision of technical supportive supervision with the goal of improving the quality of family planning care at the Sangini outlets.

S/he reports to Manager – Quality Assurance based at Head Office and also closely communicates with field team.

S/he will also be responsible for coordinating with districts stakeholders including government line agencies, NGOs and other partners working in the area of family planning and reproductive health as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

BN or BSc. Nursing or Bachelor of Public Health (BPH) from a recognized institution with paramedical background (HA/ Staff Nurse/ CMA/ ANM)

Experience, Competencies and others:

  • At least 2 years of experience in Family Planning, Reproductive Health or clinical experience
  • Preference will be given to the candidate having experience of  working in family planning and reproductive health at the field level or experience in RH quality assurance activities
  • Good writing and speaking skills in Nepali and English
  • Proficiency in using computers (e.g. MS Word, Excel, Power Point etc.)
  • Valid motorbike driving license
  • Willingness to travel extensively in remote areas
