1. Position: Pharmacy and Logistic Officer – (1)

Duty Station: Mugu, Nepal

Qualification & Experiences: At least Bachelors in pharmacy and registered in Nepal Pharmacy Council (NPC) with minimum 2 years of working experience in related field. Should have sound knowledge of coordinating and optimizing medicine procurement, storage, distribution, and inventory management processes. Should have good communication and interpersonal skills to ensure all procurement procedure principles are followed as per the public procurement act and regulations.

2. Position: Education Supervisor – (1)

3. Position: Health Supervisor (Few)

Duty Station: Humla, Mugu, Bajura- Nepal

Qualification & Experiences: Should have completed HA/Staff Nurse with minimum 2 years of clinical and supervisory experience in primary health care service in remote areas of Nepal. Should have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Nepali language.

Insurance Benefits:

About YUWA

Established in 2009, YUWA is a registered not-for-profit, purely youth-run and led organization that promotes youth participation through empowerment and advocacy. YUWA was born out of a group of committed youths, unofficially working in this sector since 2005. The initial focus was to develop the leadership skills of the involved youths, to train as youth activists, and to advocate for change, thus resulting in a wide and diverse array of knowledge, skills, and experience in this sector. It led to the realization of the seriousness of youth issues and the need to act, which, finally took the shape of YUWA. YUWA currently works in three thematic areas: Active Citizenship, Sexual and Reproductive Rights and Research Unit.

Position Summary

The Communication Documentation and Learning Officer will play a crucial role in facilitating effective communication, documenting project activities, and promoting learning within YUWA. This position will collaborate closely with the creative department and other team members to develop and implement communication strategies, manage project documentation, and ensure the dissemination of learning outcomes. Additionally, the Officer will support partner management activities and contribute to the overall organizational development of YUWA.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Project Communication 

• Develop and implement internal and external strategies for communication and outreach
• Prepare ad submit monthly social media analytics to Office supervisor
• Prepare annual and quarterly report of organization with tangible results
• Evolve successful goal-orientated communication plans with creative department
• Maintain a calendar of assigned project communication needs
• Lead and support learning events, conduct/facilitate research, produce resources and guidance, and facilitate ongoing content development and engagement in every project
• Help YUWA in integrating knowledge, learning management, and preserving institutional memory into their every project, activity, report and strategy
• Ensure every new programmed includes learning outcomes and strategically disseminate the learning through various avenues and ensure tangible results are included in the reports.
• Prepare and monitor web analytics of online tools
• Think outside the box- creative ways to engage and attract YUWA’s target beneficiaries
• Develop and disseminate YUWA’s reports, publications and public relation materials among beneficiaries’ stakeholders and relevant policymakers
• Updates YUWA’s website and communication folder with documentation of new learnings
• Work in close collaboration with different departmets to plan and implement programs and workshops, perform duties assigned by Office Supervisor.

Partner Management 

• Build and sustain relationships with donor in accordance to YUWA’s partnership values
• Conduct frequent meetings within the team members at YUWA as specified in the project details
• Attend meetings which will increase Public Relations of YUWA

Organizational Development and Team Tasks 

• Support the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of YUWA’ strategic plan
• Initiating different in-house programs and other management interventions wherever gaps in the programs are identified or issues arise
• Contribute to other stared program tasks of YUWA and RHRN-2, such as joint advocacy planning and development, information scanning, visitor orientation, publication outputs, promotion of YUWA, and others
• Contribute to mid-year, annual and long-term review of strategic planning
• Contribute to and participate in organization-wide tasks, such as staff meetings, staff capacity development activities, annual review meetings, evaluation and planning meetings, intern/volunteer/visitor orientation, and others.
• In collaboration with the YUWA’s Executive Board and Officer Supervisor, provide substantive contributions to the development of funding proposals when required.

Minimum Qualifications and Transferable Skills

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in multimedia, communications, journalism, or a related field.
• Experience of at least two years in the relevant field is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey information to diverse audiences.
• Cultural, gender, religious, and age sensitivity and adaptability, demonstrating an inclusive approach to work.
• High-level planning, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in multimedia tools, including graphic design software, video editing, and web content management systems.
• Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to draft clear and concise reports, publications, and public relations materials.
• Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to conduct research, analyze data, and present findings.
• Familiarity with web analytics and social media platforms, and the ability to leverage these tools for effective communication and outreach.
• Knowledge of project management principles and the ability to coordinate and collaborate with team members.
• Demonstrated commitment to YUWA’s core values, including a gender-transformative approach, inclusiveness, meaningful and inclusive youth participation, do no harm, and accountability.

Reporting Lines

The Communication Documentation and Learning Officer will report to Office Supervisor, who is responsible for overseeing the organization. The officer will collaborate closely with the creative department and work in coordination with program officers and other team members.

Working Relationships

The officer will establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders, including program officers, the creative department, and other relevant teams within the organization. They will also engage with external stakeholders such as donors, partners, and policymakers.

Duration and Contract 

Contract: The initial contract will be a fixed-term contract for a 6 months with possibility of extension with a three month probation period, with the possibility of extension based on performance and availability of funding. The contract will include details of compensation, benefits, and other relevant terms and conditions.
