Job Description

The Mathematics Teacher is responsible for planning, teaching, and assessing mathematics lessons for lower secondary and secondary students. The teacher should create an engaging learning environment that develops students’ mathematical understanding, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Learning

Teach mathematics subjects according to the school curriculum and academic standards.

Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, assignments, and assessments.

Deliver interactive and student-centered lessons.

Use modern teaching methods and educational technology where appropriate.

Support students with different learning abilities.

Student Assessment

Conduct class tests, quizzes, assignments, and examinations.

Evaluate and record students’ academic performance.

Provide timely feedback to students and parents.

Prepare progress reports and maintain academic records.

Classroom Management

Maintain discipline and a positive classroom environment.

Encourage active participation and collaborative learning.

Ensure student safety and well-being during classroom activities.

Academic Development

Participate in curriculum planning and departmental meetings.

Organize remedial or extra support classes when needed.

Prepare students for internal and external examinations.

Communication & Coordination

Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress.

Collaborate with colleagues and school administration.

Participate in school events, trainings, workshops, and extracurricular activities.

Job Specification

Minimum bachelor’s degree in mathematics, Education, or related field (master’s degree preferred).

Minimum 1–3 years of teaching experience preferred.
