The Role 

We're looking for a passionate and people-first College Placement Officer to be the bridge between our students and their careers. You'll work directly with students, parents, industry partners, and internal departments to ensure every student at Ambition Guru College transitions into opportunities that match their potential. 

This is not a desk job but a relationship-driven role for someone who genuinely cares about student growth and has the coordination skills to make things happen. 

What You'll Do 

Student Counselling & Career Guidance 

• Conduct one-on-one sessions with students to understand their interests, aspirations, and career goals 
• Provide both individual and group counselling on career planning, job applications, and professional development 
• Follow up consistently with students and offer ongoing check-ins throughout their placement journey 

Placement Coordination 

• Manage the end-to-end student placement process — both within Ambition Guru and with external organizations 
• Identify and schedule career sessions, workshops, and placement drives in coordination with internal and external resource persons 
• Liaise with departments across the company to align suitable opportunities with student profiles 

Industry & Stakeholder Engagement 

• Represent Ambition Guru College at industry forums, networking events, and academic collaborations 
• Build and maintain relationships with employers, industry professionals, and placement partners 
• Coordinate with parents when required to keep them informed of their child's progress and opportunities 

Records & Reporting 

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of student profiles, placement activities, and outcomes 
• Organize training sessions on interview techniques, resume building, and workplace readiness 
• Gather post-placement feedback and use insights to continuously improve the placement process 

What We're Looking For 

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Human Resources, Education, or a related field 
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in a client-facing role (HR background preferred) 
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, equally comfortable speaking with students, parents, and senior stakeholders 
• Excellent organizational and documentation abilities 
• Empathetic, approachable, and genuinely student-focused 
• Able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
