Position Summary
The Assistant Operations Manager is responsible for supporting and strengthening the operational efficiency of KUMON Nepal. This role involves managing school operations, coordinating teams, ensuring curriculum quality, and executing strategic initiatives.
This is a dynamic, field-oriented role requiring active engagement with schools, instructors, students, and internal teams. The position demands strong leadership, organizational capability, and adaptability to handle multiple responsibilities effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management & Team Coordination
Oversee daily departmental operations and ensure smooth workflow
Coordinate with Correction and FI Team Leaders for task management and performance tracking
Monitor team productivity, discipline, and operational standards
Identify operational gaps and recommend improvements
Prepare and present weekly operational reports
School Operations & Relationship Management
Maintain strong relationships with partner schools and stakeholders
Coordinate school-level activities such as:
Instructor training
Parent engagement sessions
Student development activities
Workshops and meetings
Monitor student progress, attendance, and instructor performance
Curriculum Oversight & Quality Assurance
Ensure proper implementation of the KUMON methodology
Monitor correction accuracy and student learning progress
Support training sessions for instructors and school staff
Analyze performance gaps and implement improvement plans
Field Visits & Program Implementation
Conduct regular school visits and classroom observations
Evaluate teaching quality, study flow, and classroom management
Provide feedback and support to instructors and team leaders
Assist in implementing growth and quality improvement plans
Strategic Planning & Leadership Support
Support the Head of Department in executing operational strategies
Contribute insights in planning and decision-making processes
Assist in team development, mentoring, and onboarding
Marketing & Sales Collaboration
Coordinate with marketing and sales teams for campaigns and school outreach
Support seminars, promotional events, and enrollment drives
Assist in handling inquiries and follow-ups
HR & Administrative Coordination
Support recruitment, onboarding, and staff coordination
Assist in scheduling and workforce planning
Coordinate with finance for budgeting and operational expenses
Communication & Reporting
Maintain communication with KUMON Japan and internal teams
Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation
Ensure smooth coordination between schools, parents, and management
Training & Development
During the initial 6-month period, the candidate will undergo hands-on training across:
Correction processes
Field instruction activities
Curriculum implementation
School operations
Marketing and sales coordination

Educational Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Management, Business Administration, or related field
Master’s degree is preferred
Experience Requirements
Minimum 3 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role
Experience in education sector or school coordination is an advantage

Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
