Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Teaching Assistant based in Kathmandu District. The Teaching Assistant (TA) supports faculty members in conducting practical and academic activities for IT-related courses. The role involves assisting students during lab sessions, providing technical guidance, maintaining laboratory discipline, and supporting smooth execution of academic tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Assist faculty members during practical and laboratory sessions.

Guide students in programming, software usage, assignments, and project work.

Support students in understanding technical concepts and resolving basic technical issues.

Maintain discipline, attendance records, and proper usage of computer lab equipment.

Assist in software installation, lab maintenance, and smooth operation of lab activities.

Support practical examinations, project demonstrations, and preparation of lab materials and technical resources.

Coordinate with faculty members and the IT department for effective lab management and academic support.

Qualifications

Basic knowledge of programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.

Strong Communication skills, both verbal and written.

Familiarity with MS Office, networking, and general computer operations.

Technical troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.

Ability to guide and support students patiently.

Bachelor’s degree in BSc CSIT, BIT, BCA, or related IT field.

Previous experience in a similar role or academic environment is a plus.
