Senior Shopify Developer

Location

Dhumbarahi, Kathmandu (Onsite)

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and customize Shopify themes from scratch using Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.

Collaborate with designers and project stakeholders to transform designs into responsive, conversion-optimized storefronts.

Customize Shopify stores by leveraging Shopify JS APIs, Shopify CLI, and front-end technologies.

Develop and maintain custom Shopify apps and integrations.

Ensure code quality, performance optimization, and cross-browser/device compatibility.

Integrate third-party APIs, analytics tools, and external web services.

Work with Agile teams and follow best practices in version control (Git), code reviews, and documentation.

Participate in troubleshooting, debugging, and continuous improvement of store performance.

Qualifications

5+ Years Proven experience in Shopify theme development and customization using Liquid.

Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES5/ES6), and jQuery.

Deep understanding of Shopify’s JS APIs and GraphQL/REST APIs.

Hands-on experience with Shopify Plus stores and large-scale implementations.

Experience building custom Shopify apps (public or private) and working with back-end services (PHP preferred).

Familiarity with JSON-based REST APIs, OAuth, and integration with third-party systems.

Proficient with build tools like Gulp, Grunt, Webpack, and NPM.

Comfortable working with Agile methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git).

Solid understanding of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and SEO best practices.

Experience in unit testing and debugging across multiple environments.

Able to work across Unix/Linux/Windows OS environments.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Experience with React.js, Node.js, and modern JS frameworks would be an added advantage.
