Job Summary

We are looking for a talented individual to join our team and play a pivotal role in our software project management efforts. You would be a seasoned Project Manager with a strong background in software project management with experience in developing and managing agile sprint plans utilizing Jira. You will collaborate with a cross-functional team and be working with management to ensure tasks are monitored and completed and on time.

Job Description

As a Software Project Manager, your primary responsibilities will include entering and prioritizing Jira tickets, building and managing Agile sprint plans, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. Your responsibilities will include:

Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, and resource allocation.

Work closely with teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and define project objectives.

Facilitate sprint planning meetings and retrospectives to ensure alignment among team members and management.

Create and manage Agile sprint plans, adjusting as necessary to accommodate changing priorities.

Utilize Jira to enter, manage, and prioritize tickets, ensuring accurate tracking of tasks and project progress.

Prepare and present project reports, metrics, and KPIs.

Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders, highlighting progress, challenges, and upcoming milestones.

Identify potential risks and communicate to the management team.

Foster strong collaboration among Engineering, QA, Design, and other cross-functional teams.

Facilitate communication and coordination to ensure smooth project execution.

Work collaboratively with team members to address and resolve issues as they arise.

Job Specification

Required Skills and Expertise

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Management, Computer Application or related field.

Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Software Project Manager in a software development environment.

Project Management: Project Management Professional (PMP) or Agile certifications experience with Scrum/Kanban/Waterfall methodologies and other project management tools.

Tools

Strong familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools, particularly Jira.

SDLC

Solid understanding of software development processes and life cycles.

DevOps

Familiarity with DevOps practices is a plus.

Soft Skills

Excellent English writing, communication and interpersonal skills.
