About the Role

Velorona is looking for a skilled QA Automation Engineer to strengthen our quality assurance team. This mid-level position focuses on building and maintaining manual testing process and automated testing frameworks for both API and web applications, ensuring our products meet the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for web applications and APIs

Create and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts

Implement API automation testing using industry-standard tools and frameworks

Build and maintain web UI automation frameworks using modern testing tools

Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing

Identify, document, and track bugs through their lifecycle

Collaborate with developers to understand features and define test strategies

Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines

Monitor test results and generate detailed test reports

Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability

Continuously improve test coverage and automation processes

Work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment

Required Qualifications

2+ years of professional experience in QA automation or software testing

Strong experience with API testing and automation tools

Proficiency in web automation tools such as Playwright

Solid programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript and (Python is a plus).

Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, Chai, Pytest, etc.)

Understanding of RESTful APIs and HTTP protocols

Knowledge of test automation best practices and design patterns

Experience with version control systems (Git)

Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or CircleCI)

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent attention to detail and quality mindset

Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively in a remote setting

Good written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience testing Next.js and React applications

Knowledge of REST API testing

Familiarity with Prisma ORM and database testing

Experience with performance and load testing tools (JMeter, k6, Artillery)

Understanding of accessibility (a11y) testing

Experience with visual regression testing tools

Knowledge of Docker and containerized testing environments

Familiarity with test data management strategies
