Job Purpose
To support the Site Manager in overall project execution and site operations. This position will be responsible for supervising construction activities, coordinating with contractors and consultants, monitoring project progress, and ensuring smooth day-to-day site management.
The candidate should have strong technical knowledge of hydropower construction works along with the ability to independently handle site responsibilities in absence of the Site Manager.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
1. Site Execution & Supervision
Assist the Site Manager in managing overall site operations and construction activities.
Supervise execution of all civil works.
Monitor construction progress and ensure works are completed as per approved drawings, specifications, and schedule.
Coordinate daily construction activities with contractors, subcontractors, and site teams.
2. Technical Coordination
Review drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications before execution.
Ensure proper quality control and construction standards at site.
Conduct site inspections and identify technical issues for timely resolution.
Verify work quantities, measurements, and contractor progress.
3. Site Management Support
Take responsibility for site coordination in absence of the Site Manager.
Support manpower planning, equipment utilization, and material management at site.
Coordinate with Head Office, consultants, and project stakeholders as required.
Assist in planning and scheduling construction activities.
4. Reporting
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
Report site issues, delays, and resource requirements.
Maintain records related to work progress, site activities, and inspections.
Qualification & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in hydropower construction projects.

Knowledge of construction quality and safety standards
Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD
