Job Description

Job Purpose: The Excise Officer is responsible for ensuring accurate excise documentation, statutory compliance, dispatch coordination, inventory reconciliation, and timely submission of excise-related reports in accordance with Nepal Government regulations and company policies. The role supports smooth brewery operations by ensuring proper control of finished goods movement and excise duty compliance.

Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in business administration management finance commerce/supply chain management

Experience

4+ years; Preferred industry exposure; Brewery/FMCG/ Beverage manufacturing

Required Skills & Competencies: Knowledge of Nepal excise laws and regulations/ERP/SAP system handling

Advanced MS Excel/Documentation and reporting/Inventory management

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Monitoring and physical verification: Responsible for the monitoring and physical verification of raw materials, semi-finished, and finished goods, and ensuring they tally with the excise books.

Handling excise stickers: Collect and handle excise stickers from the Intend Revenue Office (IRO) under safe custody.

Issuing excise stickers

Issue excise stickers to the production department.

Filling up excise books

Fill up excise books on a daily basis.

Correspondence with government offices: Maintain correspondence with government offices and obtain permission for the dispatch of goods.

Preparing sales bills

Filling in IRD automation system: Fill in the required details in the IRD automation system (IRD web-portal) of all excisable goods.
