Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Video Editor role based in Bhaktapur. The Video Editor will assemble raw footage into polished videos for digital platforms, ensuring clear narratives, smooth pacing, and high production quality. Day-to-day tasks include editing video clips, trimming and sequencing footage, adding transitions and sound, and optimizing content for various formats and channels. The role involves close collaboration with creative, design, and marketing teams to interpret briefs, refine storyboards, and maintain brand consistency. The Video Editor will also be responsible for basic color correction, integrating motion graphics where needed, organizing media assets, and meeting production deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Strong skills in Video Editing and Video Production, including assembling footage, pacing, and story-driven editing.

Proficiency in Video Color Grading to ensure consistent visual style and mood across projects.

Experience with Motion Graphics and Graphics to create engaging titles, lower thirds, overlays, and simple animations.

Hands-on experience with industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve).

Basic audio editing and sound design skills to balance levels, clean up dialogue, and integrate music and effects effectively.

Strong visual storytelling abilities, attention to detail, and a portfolio or showreel demonstrating previous video work.

Ability to take feedback constructively, work collaboratively on-site in Kathmandu, and manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Relevant education or training in film, multimedia, communications, or a related field is preferred but equivalent experience is also valued.
