Burns Violence Survivors Nepal is a non-governmental organization and the first as well as the only organization in Nepal dedicated exclusively to addressing burn-related issues. The organization works across all levels, from local level to the federal government, and engages individuals, communities, and institutions to promote prevention, care, advocacy, and support for burn survivors. BVS-Nepal is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, and committed individual for the position of Advocacy Officer to support the implementation of its projects.

Review and conduct in-depth analysis of existing laws, policies, regulations and programs of the Government.
Communicate and lobby with government authorities and concerned stakeholders to highlight the burn issues.
Develop advocacy related statement, policy brief, report, document on burn issues.
Conduct field visit in the target area of the project and collect evidences that is required for the project.
Assist to the advocacy consultant in advocacy related issues.
Develop proposals, event reports, periodic reports annual, semi-annual reports, and annual reports as per the need of the project and organization.
Manage and analyze beneficiaries’ data.
Take a responsibility to conduct events and implementation of the overall project with team.
Provide support as per the requirement of program/organization.
Monitoring and ensure quality of services provided to beneficiaries.
Produce success stories of the beneficiaries.
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Human Right or related subject.
Proven experience in advocacy project implementation/management, proposal development and report writing with minimum 2 years of experience in development sectors, I/NGOs.
Good understanding of human rights-based approach and familiarity with existing Nepalese laws, legal system including core International Human Rights Treaties.
Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation & public relation skills in both English and Nepali.
Able to work effectively and efficiently under pressure and in a team for bringing the concrete results.
Flexible and able to multitask on several different aspects of the projects.
Excellent MS Office package i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Google Sheets, Canva etc.
Knowledge and experience working on GBV, burn violence, including referral pathways and livelihood support.
Experience working with government institutions, NGOs, and donor agencies, including sound knowledge in advocacy and planning processes of local, provincial, and federal governments.
