Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kathmandu for a New Zealand Counselor. The Counselor will assist students in understanding study opportunities in New Zealand by providing guidance on education pathways, university options, application processes, and visa preparation. Responsibilities include counseling students in person, preparing application documents, coordinating with institutions and partners, and conducting information sessions where necessary.

Qualifications

• Strong counseling and advisory skills, with a focus on providing academic and career-related guidance
• Knowledge of New Zealand’s education system and student visa requirements
• Proficiency in communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and organizational skills for managing student applications and documentation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant digital tools
• Ability to build relationships with students, parents, and educational partners
• Previous experience in education consultancy or international student counseling is an advantage
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, or a related field is preferred
