📋 Job Description
Manage the company's legal and regulatory compliance activities.
Liaise with government agencies, local authorities, and regulatory bodies on behalf of the company.
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
Monitor changes in laws and regulations and advise management on potential impacts.
Handle legal disputes, claims, and litigation matters in coordination with external legal counsel.
Build and maintain positive relationships with government officials, community leaders, and external stakeholders.
Support licensing, permits, approvals, and regulatory filings required for business operations.
Provide legal guidance and risk assessment on corporate decisions and business activities.
Ensure compliance with corporate governance policies and industry regulations.
Represent the company in meetings, hearings, and discussions with external parties when required.
Prepare reports and updates related to legal, compliance, and stakeholder engagement activities.
✅ Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Law, Legal Studies, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
Master's degree in Law, Corporate Governance, Public Policy, or a related discipline will be an added advantage.
Minimum 5–8 years of experience in Government Relations, Public Relations, Corporate Affairs, External Affairs, or Legal Affairs.
Prior experience in the cement manufacturing, industrial, infrastructure, energy, or manufacturing sector is highly preferred.
Strong understanding of Nepalese laws, regulatory requirements, and compliance procedures.
Proven experience in dealing with government agencies, regulatory authorities, and local stakeholders.
Experience in handling legal documentation, contracts, agreements, and compliance matters.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
Ability to manage sensitive issues with professionalism and confidentiality.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
