Program Associate – School Well-being & SEL

Location

Kathmandu Valley

We are seeking a dynamic, creative, and passionate School Well-being & SEL Program Associate to support the implementation of our School Wellness and Behavioral Health Program across partner educational institutions. This role requires a versatile professional who can facilitate engaging learning experiences, develop educational content, conduct workshops, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders to strengthen students’ social, emotional, and behavioral development.

The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic educator and facilitator who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys working with children and adolescents across different age groups, and is committed to creating meaningful learning experiences that promote lifelong learning & well-being.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, facilitate, and evaluate engaging, experiential, and activity-based Social Emotional Learning (SEL), life skills, and wellbeing sessions for students across different developmental stages.

Design, develop, and continuously improve lesson plans, facilitator guides, student activities, worksheets, presentations, and other educational resources aligned with organizational frameworks.

Facilitate workshops, orientations, and capacity-building sessions for teachers, parents, school leaders, and other stakeholders on topics related to student wellbeing, mental health, SEL, digital citizenship, resilience, parenting, and positive school culture.

Observe, monitor, and assess student participation, engagement, and behavioral outcomes, and adapt facilitation approaches to meet diverse learning and developmental needs.

Utilize innovative instructional strategies such as storytelling, role-play, activity bassed learning, discussions, Experiential learning, project-based learning, reflective exercises, and digital learning tools to create meaningful and inclusive learning experiences.

Collaborate closely with school administrators, teachers, counselors, parents, and the internal program team to strengthen whole-school wellbeing initiatives.

Develop Individualized Support and Intervention plan of students in need.

Maintain accurate documentation, session reports, attendance records, assessment data, and program outcomes in accordance with organizational standards.

Support the planning and implementation of school events, awareness campaigns, wellness initiatives, and special projects.

Contribute to curriculum enhancement, program innovation, research activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Represent the organization professionally while maintaining positive relationships with partner schools and stakeholders.

Perform additional programmatic responsibilities assigned by the organization to support its mission and growth.

Professional Requirements / Attributes

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Child Development, or a related discipline. A Master’s degree will be considered an added advantage.

Minimum one year of experience in teaching, facilitation, training, wellbeing support (individual and group), youth development, or educational program implementation. Fresh graduates with exceptional facilitation skills and strong learning potential are encouraged to apply.

Demonstrated ability to facilitate interactive learning sessions for children, adolescents, teachers, and parents.

Strong lesson planning, curriculum development, presentation, and facilitation skills.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, public speaking, and stakeholder engagement abilities.

Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating within multidisciplinary teams.

Strong organizational, documentation, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments across schools.

Creative, adaptable, proactive, and enthusiastic about experiential education and innovation.

Willingness to travel to partner schools and work in diverse educational settings as required.

High standards of professionalism, integrity, accountability, and adherence to organizational values and code of conduct.
