📋 Job Description

Nepal Disabled Women Association (NDWA) was established in 2054 (1998) adopting the values of the fundamental rights and responsibilities provided by the constitution of Nepal. It aims to support Women with Disabilities (WWDs) to pursue their rights, and provide them protection and livelihood support. Unless WWDs from all sections of the Nepalese community understand and exercise their human rights, particularly as ensured by the UN Convention on Rights of Persons with Disabilities, their lives will not be bright and prosperous. Therefore, NDWA promotes programs to build the capacity of the WWDs living in both urban and remote areas of the country, enabling them to become capable, empowered, and proactive in exercising their rights. It is also vital to empower women from other disadvantaged communities, such as women with disabilities from Dalit and Madhesi community, to build their self- esteem and confidence. In this context, NDWA plays an important role to advocate on the issues of WWDs, including rights to education, health, employment, rehabilitation and social security.

Consultancy Service for Content Development and Layout Design with Information, Education and Communication (IEC) Material on Inclusive Education

This announcement has been issued under the Project ACCESS-Accelerating Civil Society's Role in Securing Education for All in Madhesh, Karnali and Sudurpaschim Provinces with financial support from the European Union. The project is led by People in Need Nepal in consortium with Accountability Lab Nepal (ALN), National Campaign for Education Nepal (NCE Nepal) and Nepal Disabled Women Association, and.

The overall objective of the project is to contribute to improved participation of civil society in fostering access to equitable education and specific objective is to strengthened role of civil society in promoting access to education for marginalised children in Madhesh, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.

To support these efforts, NDWA will develop Information, Education and Communication (IEC) and visibility materials that are attractive and easy to understand that can be used at different level i.e. Province government, local government and community schools. NDWA seeks a qualified consultant or design firm to review the project content and design accessible and engaging content and IEC materials using suitable layouts, illustrations, graphics and infographics about Inclusive Education that meet the project's communication and visibility requirements.

The objective of this assignment is to develop a comprehensive and engaging IEC material on inclusive education approaches and methodologies aligning with ACCESS project objectives and activities, that can effectively communicate key messages to the project beneficiaries and other relevant target audiences and stakeholders.

The consultant is required to make the documents self-explanatory as much as possible through various creative methods, using graphics and pictorials addressing disability and inclusive education that that the wider audience can easily access more information from the documents.

Service Provider to deliver the following tasks

The consultant will work under the supervision and guidance of the Project Lead and the GEDSI Technical Specialist of NDWA.

6. Required Qualification and Experience

The agreed amount will be disbursed after completion of assigned task and the above-mentioned deliverables only after the submission of authentic invoices on the name of Nepal Disabled Women Association.
