Introduction to Girls Not Brides and the Nepal Coalition

Girls Not Brides is a global partnership working to end child marriage and ensure every girl can shape her own future. Since 2011, we have brought together more than 1,400 organisations in nearly 100 countries, united by one goal: to end child, early and forced marriages and unions everywhere. We envision a world without child marriage, where girls in all their diversity decide if, when and whom to marry, and where their rights and futures are fully realised. In 2025, one in five girls were married before the age of 18; by 2030, our ambition is to help reduce this to one in seven.

The Nepal coalition brings together 42 civil society organisations and partners working to end child marriage and advance the rights of girls in the national context. It provides a platform for coordinated advocacy, collective action, learning and partnership to influence policy, strengthen accountability and drive sustainable change.

The Coalition Programme Consultant (CPC) provides strategic leadership, coordination and programme management to advance the coalition's influencing agenda, deliver coalition-led programmes supported by Girls Not Brides, and strengthen long-term effectiveness and sustainability.

Strategic influencing, partnerships and stakeholder engagement

Lead and coordinate the coalition's influencing agenda, helping members focus on the highest-impact opportunities to end child marriage and achieve agreed objectives. Responsibilities include:

Programme design, delivery and accountability

Lead the design, coordination and implementation of the coalition's Collective Action programme for systemic change and other coalition-led influencing initiatives, working with the Coalition Steering Committee, members and grant-holding organisation. Responsibilities include:

Work with coalition leadership and support functions, including the Secretariat Manager and Coalition Strengthening grantee (Grant 2), to align coordination, programme delivery and influencing priorities. Responsibilities include:

Align coalition-strengthening and sustainability efforts with influencing objectives and programme priorities so capacity investments support collective action and long-term impact. Responsibilities may include:
