Position Overview

As a Jr. Cyber Security Associate, you will have the unique opportunity to collaborate with a team of seasoned professionals in the realm of cyber security. This designation is designed to assist in protecting an organization’s digital assets by supporting the senior security team with tasks like monitoring networks, analyzing threats, updating firewalls, and implementing security protocols. To help safeguard systems and data from cyberattacks, often working under supervision in entry-level roles and gaining hands-on experience in areas like threat detection and risk assessment

Responsibilities

Watch over networks and systems for potential threats and security alerts.

Assist in the installation and configuration of firewalls, encryption, and other security tools.

Help with the response to security incidents, including initial analysis and mitigation steps.

Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability tests to identify weaknesses in the systems.

Keep security documentation and reports up to date.

Help train employees on security best practices to prevent social engineering and phishing attacks.

Carry out other duties assigned by the seniors.

Essential skills, abilities & knowledge

Bachelor’s Degree Completed in IT/Cyber Security or related field.

Engineering council certified are preferred

A foundational understanding of cybersecurity concepts like firewalls, encryption, and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS).

Preferred certifications like CEH or other Cybersecurity related can be highly beneficial.

Knowledge of diverse and emerging technology concepts, strategies, and methodologies.

A customer-centric approach while applying higher-level business objectives.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Work experience

Minimum 1 years of experience in related cybersecurity field
