New Product Development Officer

Location; Kathmandu

Job Summary

The New Product Development (NPD) Officer is responsible for supporting the development and improvement of food products, primarily in the noodle and biscuit categories. The role involves product analysis, sample preparation and evaluation, customer follow-up, market feedback collection, and coordination with Production, QC, Sales, and Management to ensure products meet customer expectations and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and evaluate new and existing food products through product analysis and sample comparison.

Prepare and coordinate product samples for customers and collect feedback through agents.

Share customer feedback, trial results, and product improvement recommendations with Management and the Sales team.

Coordinate with Production and QC teams to implement required product modifications and quality improvements.

Conduct customer mapping and maintain regular follow-up to understand market requirements and product performance.

Maintain records of product trials, customer feedback, and development activities.

Monitor competitor products and support continuous product improvement initiatives.

Assist in product launches and provide technical support to internal teams when required.

Qualifications

Food Technology qualification is mandatory.

Experience

Minimum 2 years of experience in Product Development, Production, Quality Assurance, or R&D within the Noodle, Biscuit, or FMCG Food Manufacturing Industry.

Hands-on experience in food product formulation, production processes, and quality evaluation will be preferred.

Other Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology is mandatory.

Valid two-wheeler driving license and own two-wheeler are mandatory.

Willingness to travel frequently for customer visits, product sampling, and market follow-ups.
