Job Description
For Review and Finalization of Participant
Selection Guidelines, Do No Harm Guidance, and Safeguarding Risk Assessment
CMC-Nepal, with financial support from CBM
Global, is implementing the Karnali Mental Health Project (KMHP) to strengthen
inclusive, rights-based, community-based MHPSS services in Karnali Province.
The project promotes participation of persons with lived experience of mental
health conditions and psychosocial disabilities, guided by human rights, GEDSI,
disability inclusion, and safeguarding principles.
CMC-Nepal
invites qualified consulting firms or individual consultants to review and
finalize three KMHP documents
Participant Selection Guidelines, Do No Harm
Guidance, and a Project-Specific Safeguarding Risk Assessment.
To finalize
practical, rights-based, and context-specific guidance that ensures equitable
participant selection, prevents harm, and strengthens safeguarding throughout
KMHP implementation.
The consultant/firm will review, refine, and
finalize the following documents and tools
A. Participant Selection Guidelines
Participant Selection Guidelines covering
HRBA, LNOB, GEDSI, intersectionality and vulnerability criteria, transparent
selection processes, eligibility and prioritization, staff roles,
documentation, verification, feedback/grievance mechanisms, and ethics.
guidelines will apply to trainings, Self-Help Groups, peer support groups,
community awareness, home visits, capacity building, livelihood interventions,
and psychosocial support services.
B. Do No Harm Guidance Document
Do No Harm Guidance covering conflict
sensitivity, ethical engagement, confidentiality, informed consent, stigma
prevention, safe referral, community participation, protection of vulnerable
individuals, risk mitigation, and staff checklists.
C. Project-Specific Safeguarding Risk
Assessment
Safeguarding Risk Assessment for KMHP
interventions, including training/workshops, community meetings, home visits,
counselling, data collection, livelihood support, referrals, travel, and field
visits.
assessment will identify, analyze, and rate safeguarding risks; document
controls; recommend mitigation actions; define roles; and include monitoring
indicators.
