Job Description
Job Summary
The Communications and Social Media Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing integrated communication and social media strategies to enhance organizational visibility, strengthen brand reputation, engage target audiences, and support organizational objectives. The role will manage digital platforms, create compelling content, coordinate campaigns, monitor online engagement, and ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive communication and social media strategies aligned with organizational goals.
Manage and maintain official social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, YouTube, and other relevant channels.
Create, edit, and publish engaging content, including posts, articles, newsletters, videos, graphics, and digital campaigns.
Develop monthly and annual social media content calendars.
Manage the organization's online presence and ensure consistent brand voice and visual identity.
Monitor social media trends, audience behavior, and emerging digital communication tools.
Plan and execute digital campaigns, awareness campaigns, promotional activities, and online events.
Coordinate with internal teams to collect information and develop accurate and timely communication materials.
Develop press releases, media briefs, newsletters, success stories, website content, speeches, and other communication materials.
Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, influencers, partners, and other stakeholders.
Monitor media coverage and manage communication responses where required.
Track, analyze, and report social media performance using relevant analytics tools.
Measure key performance indicators such as reach, engagement, impressions, website traffic, and audience growth.
Respond to comments, messages, and online inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Support crisis communication and reputation management activities.
Coordinate photography, videography, graphic design, and other creative communication requirements.
Ensure all published content complies with organizational policies, brand guidelines, and communication standards.
Maintain an organized digital archive of communication materials, photographs, videos, and media coverage.
Prepare regular communication and social media performance reports for management.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Mass Communication, Marketing, Public Relations, Media Studies, Business Administration, or a related field.
A Master's degree or relevant professional certification will be an advantage.
Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in communications, social media management, digital marketing, public relations, or a related field.
Required Skills and Competencies
Excellent Chinese Language Skills
Good English Language Skills
Experience in managing social media platforms and digital content
Knowledge of Tibetan Buddhist Culture is preferred
Good Typing skills and general office computer skills
