Job Summary

The Electro-Technical Officer is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all electrical and electronic equipment onboard the vessel. The ETO works closely with the Chief Engineer and other engineering officers to maintain shipboard systems in compliance with company policies and international maritime regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Main and emergency generators

• High- and low-voltage switchboards

• Electric motors and variable frequency drives (VFDs)

• Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)

• Power Management Systems (PMS)

• Engine automation and monitoring systems

• Fire detection and gas detection system
