Job Description
Job Summary
The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the manufacturing plant to ensure production targets, quality standards, safety regulations, and cost objectives are achieved. The role involves managing production, maintenance, quality assurance, inventory, and workforce while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Production Management: Direct and optimize manufacturing processes to meet daily, weekly, and monthly output targets.
Budget & Cost Control: Oversee the facility's budget, manage manufacturing expenses, and identify cost-reduction opportunities.
Quality & Compliance: Guarantee products adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality standards. Ensure full compliance with local labor laws, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
Team Leadership: Supervise department heads (e.g., Production, Maintenance, QA, and HR), drive employee engagement, and conduct performance evaluations.
Supply Chain Oversight: Forecast raw material and packaging needs, and coordinate with vendors to prevent production delays.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
Master's degree (MBA or Engineering Management) is an advantage.
