HAPSA Nepal (Health Advancement Programs to Serve All) is a nonprofit organization registered with the District Administration Office and Social Welfare Council of Nepal, working to strengthen the chain of emergency care across the country.

HAPSA Nepal's programs include the Nepal Life Savers Program (CPR, choking response, and AED initiatives, including Nepal's first out-of-hospital cardiac arrest registry), the Poison Centre Collaborative (a 24/7 poison information service operated in partnership with Dhulikhel Hospital), rural trauma and emergency care strengthening, point-of-care ultrasound training and research, and emergency medicine education and exchange. HAPSA Nepal works in partnership with hospitals, municipalities, academic institutions, professional associations, and international collaborators to build locally led, evidence-informed emergency care capacity in Nepal. www.hapsaglobe.org

HAPSA Nepal (Health Advancement Programs to Serve All) is a non-governmental organization registered with the Social Welfare Council of Nepal, working to strengthen the chain of emergency care across the country.

HAPSA Nepal's programs include the Nepal Life Savers Program (CPR, choking response, and AED initiatives, including Nepal's first out-of-hospital cardiac arrest registry), the Poison Centre Collaborative (a 24/7 poison information service operated in partnership with Dhulikhel Hospital), rural trauma and emergency care strengthening, point-of-care ultrasound training and research, and emergency medicine education and exchange. HAPSA Nepal works in partnership with hospitals, municipalities, academic institutions, professional associations, and international collaborators to build locally led, evidence-informed emergency care capacity in Nepal.

The Country Director is the senior executive leader of HAPSA Nepal, responsible for the organization's strategic, programmatic, financial, and operational leadership. The Country Director holds overall accountability for the effective implementation of HAPSA Nepal's programs, the strengthening of its organizational systems, and the responsible stewardship of its resources.

The Country Director leads and supervises HAPSA Nepal's management team, builds and maintains partnerships with government agencies, hospitals, academic institutions, donors, and communities, and serves as the principal in-country representative of the organization. The position works in close coordination with the Board of Directors, the Founder and Lead Strategist, and international partners and technical advisors to advance HAPSA Nepal's mission.

This is a leadership position for a candidate who can both manage day-to-day operations and build the institutional systems (financial, programmatic, and human resources) that allow a growing nonprofit organization to deliver on its commitments sustainably.

The Country Director reports to the Board of Directors of HAPSA Nepal and works in close coordination with the Founder and Lead Strategist and with international partners, technical advisors, and donors. The Country Director directly supervises the Program Manager, the Operations and Finance Manager, and the Communications and Grants Manager.

The position is based in Kathmandu, Nepal, with travel to HAPSA Nepal program sites, partner hospitals, municipalities, and stakeholder meetings across the country as required.

The duration of engagement will be as stated in the appointment letter or employment contract, subject to organizational need, performance, funding availability, and HAPSA Nepal's policies.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and HAPSA Nepal’s organizational policies.
