Clinical Psychologist
Contract Duration: August 2026 – December 2026 (with possibility of extension based on performance and funding availability)
KOSHISH is a national-level Organization of Persons with Disabilities (OPD) established in 2008 to promote mental health and psychosocial wellbeing in Nepal. Working in partnership with government, development partners, and communities, KOSHISH strengthens mental health systems, advances the rights of persons with psychosocial disabilities, and improves access to quality Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) services. To strengthen the technical quality and clinical governance of its MHPSS programmes, KOSHISH is seeking a qualified Part-time Clinical Psychologist to provide clinical supervision, technical guidance, capacity building, and quality assurance support to psychologists, counselors, and programme teams.
Under the supervision of the Program Manager, the Part-time Clinical Psychologist provides technical leadership to strengthen the quality and effectiveness of MHPSS services across KOSHISH programmes. The position supports clinical supervision, mentoring, capacity building, quality assurance, and technical guidance to ensure evidence-based, ethical, and client-centred mental health service delivery.
The incumbent shall perform, but not be limited to, the following duties and responsibilities.

4. Qualifications and Experience
The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications, professional experience, and competencies:
The Part-time Clinical Psychologist will report directly to the Program Manager and work in close collaboration with the Technical Team, Project Coordinators, Psychologists, Counselors, and other programme personnel.
The position will provide technical guidance and professional mentoring to psychologists, counselors, and relevant programme staff but will not have direct administrative or line management responsibility unless otherwise assigned by management.
This is a part-time staff position requiring approximately 6–8 working days per month, with flexibility based on programme priorities and organizational needs.
The position will be based at the KOSHISH central office in Kathmandu with a hybrid working arrangement that includes office-based work, virtual technical support, and field visits to project locations as required. Approximately 30% travel may be required to support programme implementation, clinical supervision, monitoring, training, and coordination activities.
The Clinical Psychologist is expected to maintain regular communication with programme teams, participate in scheduled meetings, and remain available during agreed working days to provide timely technical support.
