The Parent Federation of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (PFPID) Nepal invites qualified and experienced individual consultants or consulting firms to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for the design and facilitation of a capacity-building training for parents of persons with intellectual disabilities. The training will focus on Parent Self-Help Group (PSHG) formation and mobilization, caregiver well-being, emotional management, self-care, and stress-relief strategies.

The training will bring together parent representatives from twelve districts and will adopt participatory, inclusive, and practical learning approaches.

Parents and caregivers of persons with intellectual disabilities frequently encounter emotional stress, social stigma, caregiving fatigue, and limited access to psychosocial support. Strengthening caregivers’ emotional well-being and resilience is essential to improving family support systems, reducing burnout, and promoting inclusive community participation.

PFPID Nepal seeks to strengthen the capacity of parents by enhancing their understanding of PSHG formation, group mobilization, emotional well-being, self-care practices, and effective stress-management techniques.
