Job Description

DCA is implementing its five-year strategy (2022 to 2026), during which it expects to implement initiatives focusing on three thematic areas: (1) Fight Extreme Inequality; (2) Build Resilient Communities; and (3) Save Lives (Humanitarian Response and DRR). All our interventions in Nepal will be implemented under the umbrella of Climate Action, and Gender Equality will remain to be our cross-cutting commitments.

DCA Nepal hereby invites applications, for the position of Resilience Coordinator for RAIN year 2 (Resilience, Adaptation and Inclusion in Nepal) project for the period of 6 months starting from September 2026. This project is funded by FCDO in consortium with People in Need. The project aims to bring significant value and sustainable scale-up to the RAIN programme, especially in reaching the most vulnerable and marginalised communities at risk of multi-hazards in Madhesh and Lumbini provinces.

Resilience Coordinator, RAIN Project

Under the direct supervision of DCA Climate Action Advisor, and closely working with RAIN Consortium team, this position will oversee the climate adaptation and specific resilience components of the project. S/He will be involved in overall management of adaptation components, technical leadership, capacity building, stakeholder engagement, and collaboration with implementing partners to ensure evidence-based and scalable adaptation strategies. S/He will provide technical guidance to DCA, team and partners, as well as ensure that activities are implemented timely and to a high standard while ensuring linkages with deliverables under Early Warning System – Early Adaptation, inclusion, localization and Shock Responsive Social Protection. The position is based at Janakpur, RAIN Consortium Office but has to travel both Madhesh and Lumbini Provinces.
