Role Description The Video Editor role at Murphy Education is a full-time, on-site position based in Kathmandu. The Video Editor will be responsible for editing and assembling raw footage into engaging videos that communicate the company’s mission, services, and student success stories. Day-to-day tasks include organizing and selecting clips, applying transitions and effects, synchronizing audio, and optimizing videos for different platforms. The role also includes collaboration with counselors and marketing team members to understand messaging goals, create visual narratives for campaigns, and maintain a consistent brand style. The Video Editor will be expected to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and contribute creative ideas to improve the impact of Murphy Education’s visual content.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Video Editing and Video Production.
- Candidates should possess skills in Video Color Grading to ensure consistent and appealing visual quality.
- Candidates should possess skills in Motion Graphics and Graphics for creating titles, overlays, and visual elements.
- Relevant experience with industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve) is beneficial.
- Strong storytelling ability, attention to detail, and a portfolio demonstrating prior video work are preferred.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage time effectively, and adapt feedback constructively is important.
- A diploma or degree in film, media, design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is an advantage.
