Role Description The Video Editor role at Luma Creatives is a full-time, on-site position based in Kathmandu. The Video Editor will be responsible for assembling raw footage into polished videos, selecting and trimming clips, organizing timelines, and ensuring smooth narrative flow. Day-to-day tasks include applying color grading, adding motion graphics and basic graphics, integrating sound effects and music, and optimizing videos for different platforms and formats. The role involves close collaboration with producers, videographers, and social media specialists to understand project requirements and maintain brand consistency. The Video Editor will also participate in brainstorming sessions, provide creative input on visual storytelling, and ensure all deliverables meet deadlines and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in video production and video editing, with experience handling raw footage and creating cohesive final outputs.
- Ability to perform video color grading to achieve consistent, high-quality visual styles.
- Proficiency in motion graphics and graphics for titles, lower thirds, transitions, and visual enhancements.
- Experience with industry-standard editing and post-production tools (e.g., DaVinci Resolve).
- Attention to detail, strong sense of timing and pacing, and commitment to visual storytelling.
- Ability to work on-site in Kathmandu, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Relevant training or education in film, media, communications, or a portfolio demonstrating video editing work is required.
