Junior Manual QA Tester

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Manual QA Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing web and mobile applications, identifying defects, and ensuring high-quality product delivery. This role requires a basic understanding of testing methodologies and strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand project requirements, business flows, and functional specifications
• Design, write, review, and execute test cases and test scenarios
• Perform manual testing including functional, regression, UI, and smoke testing
• Identify, document, and track bugs using appropriate tools
• Collaborate closely with developers and team members to resolve issues
• Re-test resolved defects and ensure proper closure
• Maintain test documentation, reports, and testing records
• Assist in improving testing processes, standards, and best practices

Job Specification

• Basic understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
• Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Familiarity with test case design and bug reporting
• Basic knowledge of tools like Jira, Trello, or similar tracking tools
• Understanding of web and mobile application testing
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Basic knowledge of databases (SQL is an advantage)
• Good communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or a related field
• Internship or prior experience in QA/testing
• Exposure to API testing tools (e.g., Postman) is an added advantage
