Job Details: System and Network Administrator is an officer level contractual position, to be confirmed upon satisfactory completion of performance as per company’s policy.

Professional Skill Required: The System & Network Administrator is responsible for the installation, configuration, administration, monitoring, security, and maintenance of the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, operating systems, networks, cloud services, applications, and end-user computing environments. The position requires sound knowledge of Mobile Financial Services (MFS), particularly Payment Service Provider (PSP) solutions. The role ensures the availability, security, performance, and compliance of technology systems that support the organization’s business operations.

Education: Completed Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field from a recognized university. Certification in System and Network Administration will be considered an added advantage.

Roles and Responsibility

Manage, monitor, secure, and optimize servers, storage, virtualization, cloud services, enterprise applications, and end-user environments.

Perform infrastructure upgrades, capacity planning, backup, disaster recovery, and troubleshooting.

Ensure high availability, performance, security, and business continuity.

Administer and maintain LAN/WAN, VPN, wireless networks, routers, switches, firewalls, VLANs, and internet connectivity.

Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement security controls.

Coordinate with ISPs, telecom providers, and vendors to ensure service availability and SLA compliance.

Implement security controls, access management, system hardening, and vulnerability remediation.

Monitor security events and respond to incidents.

Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards (PCI DSS, ISO 27001) and support audits.

Manage backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions for critical systems and data.

Conduct recovery testing and maintain DR documentation.

Ensure achievement of RPO/RTO targets and rapid service restoration.

Provide timely support for infrastructure, network, hardware, software, and MFS system issues.

Maintain IT assets, licenses, and support records.

Ensure reliable and uninterrupted IT operations within agreed SLAs.

Monitor infrastructure, systems, applications, and network services.

Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents through root cause analysis.

Maintain incident records and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Maintain system, network, and configuration documentation.

Develop SOPs, technical guides, and operational procedures.

Prepare operational, security, performance, capacity, and compliance reports.

Research and evaluate new technologies, automation, and infrastructure enhancements.

Recommend improvements aligned with IT strategy, security, and operational efficiency.

Participate in infrastructure projects, upgrades, migrations, and technology deployments.

Manage vendor relationships and coordinate service delivery.

Ensure project execution and vendor compliance with contractual SLAs.

Perform any other duties assigned by the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) in line with organizational requirements and business objectives.
