It broadcasts news and programmes through radio, online and social media in English and Nepali around the world. We are looking for a dynamic freelance Assistant News Reporter.

Freelance Assistant News Reporter

Essential Requirements/Competencies

At least bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication.

Two years of experience in broadcast journalism. A good background in Nepali and International current affairs, British Gurkha military history will be a distinct advantage.

Excellent broadcasting voice and good reporting skills with the ability to perform with flair and creativity on all platforms.

Must be able to identify news stories.

Must have skills and experience in a newsroom environment, reporting, writing, editing, and reading news bulletins, with a good knowledge of new media.

Must have a strong command of both written and spoken English and Nepali.

Must be able to work under pressure and direction from the news desk.

Willing to work in shifts, including overnights.
