The Tech Lead will drive the technical vision, design, and implementation for key product initiatives, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and resilient software solutions. This role balances hands-on coding, architectural leadership, and dedicated mentorship for a team of talented engineers.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the technical design, development, and deployment of complex software systems and features: gateways, PSPs, orchestration, wallets, tokenisation, authentication, and routing — in collaboration with Enterprise Architecture and the Experience, Decision, and Enterprise Engineering chapters

Ensure reliability, security, and compliance — monitoring, incident response, PCI, access control, and fraud-rule governance

Drive build-versus-buy decisions and manage integration with PSPs, acquirers, and fraud vendors.

Contribute significantly to the codebase, demonstrating best AI-assisted development practices, coding standards, and a commitment to quality

Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, tools, and technical debt management.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of experience in software development, including systems integration or solution architecture with at least 2 years in a technical leadership or senior role.

experience in fintech, e-commerce, travel, or other high-volume transactional domains is valued

Proven technical ownership or leadership — architecture, service ownership, leading technical delivery or system handovers, or mentoring engineers

Proficiency in a primary programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript) and related frameworks.

Strong background in designing and building scalable, distributed systems, microservices, and APIs.

Extensive experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern CI/CD pipelines.

Demonstrated expertise in system design, data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues effectively.
