Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Deliver lectures in Computer Networks, Network Programming, Data Communication, and related subjects.
Conduct practical laboratory sessions using Cisco networking equipment and simulation tools.
Prepare lesson plans, lecture materials, assignments, quizzes, and examinations.
Evaluate student performance through assignments, practical assessments, and examinations.
Mentor and supervise student projects, internships, and research activities.
Maintain and support networking laboratory equipment and software.
Guide students in Cisco Packet Tracer, GNS3, Wireshark, and other networking tools.
Participate in curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives.
Integrate industry trends and emerging networking technologies into teaching.
Participate in departmental meetings, academic events, workshops, and seminars.
Maintain academic records and ensure timely submission of reports and student evaluations.
Support accreditation, quality assurance, and other institutional academic activities.
Perform additional academic responsibilities assigned by the Head of Department.
Educational Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics & Communication Engineering, or a related field.
Master's degree in a relevant discipline is preferred.
Professional Certification
CCNA certification is preferred.
CCNP or other Cisco certifications will be an added advantage.
Experience
Prior teaching experience in Computer Networks and Network Programming is preferred.
Industry experience in Network Administration, System Administration, or Network Engineering will be an added advantage.
Technical Competencies
Strong understanding of Computer Networks and Data Communication.
Knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI Model, IPv4/IPv6, Routing & Switching.
Hands-on experience with Cisco routers and switches.
Familiarity with Cisco Packet Tracer, GNS3, and Wireshark.
Knowledge of Network Security fundamentals.
Understanding of Socket Programming and Network Programming concepts.
Basic knowledge of Linux networking and server administration.
