The Role

To provide technical coordination and lead implementation of Public Health Engineering (PHE) interventions within the Rasuwa Flash flood response. The post holder will ensure that water supply, sanitation, drainage, waste management, and related public health infrastructure are designed, implemented, and monitored to a high technical standard, in accordance with Oxfam policies, humanitarian standards, cluster priorities, and community needs. The role will support partners in quality programming, capacity strengthening of staff and partners, and integration with Public Health Promotion, Protection, Gender, and MEAL approaches.

Who we are looing for:We are looking for someone who has the following experience, knowledge and competencies.

Education

Degree in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Public Health Engineering, Hydraulics, or a related field.

Experience & Skills

Minimum 4 years of professional experience in WASH/Public Health Engineering programmes, including in humanitarian responses.

Demonstrated experience managing technical teams and multi-site implementation.

Strong experience in design, construction, rehabilitation, and supervision of water supply and sanitation infrastructure.

Experience developing BoQs, technical drawings, specifications, and contractor management processes.

Experience working with local partners and government stakeholders.

Sound understanding of humanitarian standards, including Sphere and accountability principles.

Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.

Proven ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing operational environments.

Excellent communication, coordination, and representation skills.

Strong report writing and information management skills in English.

Commitment to gender equality, inclusion, safeguarding, and humanitarian principles.
