About the RoleHulas Infra is looking for an experienced and results-oriented Head – EPC Projects to lead the end-to-end execution of Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) projects, particularly Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB) and related infrastructure projects.

The position will be responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership across project planning, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover. The role will work closely with senior management, clients, consultants, suppliers, contractors, and internal departments to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with required technical and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities1. Project Leadership & Planning

  • Lead the complete lifecycle of EPC projects from project initiation, planning, engineering, procurement, and construction through commissioning and final handover.
  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, budgets, resource requirements, and execution strategies.
  • Develop and monitor project schedules, milestones, manpower plans, equipment requirements, and resource allocation.
  • Establish project execution plans, systems, procedures, and performance monitoring mechanisms.
  • Monitor the overall project portfolio and ensure effective prioritization of resources.

2. Engineering & Technical Coordination

  • Lead and supervise project engineering teams across relevant disciplines.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams for design development, drawings, technical specifications, BOQs, shop drawings, and project documentation.
  • Review designs and technical specifications to ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, contractual requirements, and project objectives.
  • Coordinate structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, and other engineering requirements as applicable to the project.
  • Identify technical challenges and facilitate timely and practical solutions.
  • Ensure effective coordination between design, procurement, and construction teams.

3. Procurement & Vendor Management

  • Oversee procurement planning and ensure timely availability of materials, equipment, and services required for project execution.
  • Coordinate with the Procurement and Supply Chain teams regarding technical specifications, vendor selection, delivery schedules, and material requirements.
  • Monitor supplier and subcontractor performance and address delays or quality issues.
  • Ensure procurement activities are aligned with project schedules and approved budgets.

4. Construction & Site Execution

  • Provide leadership and direction to project and site teams to ensure smooth construction and installation activities.
  • Monitor project progress against approved schedules, budgets, specifications, and quality requirements.
  • Ensure construction activities are executed in accordance with approved drawings, method statements, specifications, and applicable standards.
  • Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and site teams to resolve project-related issues.
  • Ensure proper commissioning, testing, snagging/punch-list clearance, and project handover.

5. Cost, Schedule & Risk Management

  • Monitor project budgets, costs, cash flow, variations, claims, and commercial performance.
  • Identify potential project risks, delays, cost overruns, and technical challenges and develop mitigation plans.
  • Take timely corrective action to maintain project schedules and financial objectives.
  • Review project performance through appropriate KPIs and management reports.
  • Ensure effective change and variation management throughout the project lifecycle.

6. Quality, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, contractual requirements, quality standards, and Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) requirements.
  • Promote a strong safety culture across project and site teams.
  • Monitor quality assurance and quality control processes throughout project execution.
  • Ensure necessary inspections, testing, approvals, documentation, and statutory requirements are completed.

7. Stakeholder & Client Management

  • Serve as a key point of contact for major clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and other external stakeholders.
  • Maintain effective communication and coordination with all project stakeholders.
  • Participate in negotiations, project review meetings, technical discussions, and client presentations.
  • Address client concerns and ensure timely resolution of project issues.
  • Provide regular and accurate project status reports to senior management.

8. Team Leadership & Capability Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Ensure appropriate manpower planning and deployment across projects.
  • Establish clear responsibilities, performance expectations, and accountability within project teams.
  • Promote collaboration between Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Finance, Sales, and other relevant departments.
  • Identify training and capability-development requirements for project personnel.

9. Process Improvement & Strategic Contribution

  • Identify opportunities to improve EPC project execution processes, productivity, cost efficiency, and project controls.
  • Implement industry best practices, standardized processes, and effective project management systems.
  • Analyze project performance and identify lessons learned for future projects.
  • Contribute to strategic decisions related to project portfolio development, capacity planning, business growth, and operational efficiency.
  • Support senior management in developing the organization's EPC project execution capabilities.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline.
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field will be an advantage.
  • 15+ years of relevant professional experience, with substantial experience in EPC project execution and project leadership.
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end EPC projects, preferably involving Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB), steel structures, infrastructure, industrial projects, power/energy projects, or related sectors.
  • Strong experience in project planning, engineering coordination, procurement, construction management, commissioning, and project handover.
  • Strong understanding of project budgeting, cost control, scheduling, contract management, risk management, and resource planning.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering and project teams.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant engineering standards, technical specifications, quality systems, and HSE requirements.
  • Experience with project management and scheduling tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent.
  • PMP or other recognized project management certification will be an advantage.
