Job Description

Dalit with Disabilities Association Nepal (DDAN) is an emerging organization led by Dalits with disabilities, working to promote their dignity, rights, equality, and meaningful participation in social, political, and development processes.

DDAN is a consortium partner in the UN Women-supported project, “Promoting Leadership of Future Generation Peacebuilders and Changemakers in Nepal.” DDAN is seeking a qualified and motivated GEDSI Officer to support the effective implementation of the project.

GEDSI Officer

Key Responsibilities

Integrate gender equality, disability inclusion, accessibility, and intersectionality across project planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting.

Provide technical guidance, training, mentoring, and support to staff, partners, and stakeholders on GEDSI, disability inclusion, safeguarding, and accessibility.

Review project plans, tools, training materials, and communication products to ensure quality, accessibility, safeguarding, and compliance with relevant international standards, national policies, and donor requirements.

Promote accessible and inclusive communication, document good practices and lessons learned, and contribute to advocacy, awareness, visibility, and knowledge products.

Support project planning, budgeting, coordination, monitoring, reporting, risk management, and other responsibilities as assigned.

Required qualifications and experiences

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with at least 3-5 years of professional experience in GEDSI, disability inclusion, human rights, or inclusive development.

Strong knowledge of gender equality, disability rights, accessibility, intersectionality, safeguarding, and relevant international and national frameworks.

Demonstrated experience in project planning, implementation, monitoring, reporting, partnership management, and capacity building.

Strong analytical, facilitation, report writing, networking, and stakeholder engagement skills, with excellent written and spoken English and Nepali.

Proficiency in MS Office, digital collaboration and communication tools, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with professionalism, accountability, and results orientation.
