Job Description for Protection Officer

The Protection Officer is responsible for leading and coordinating the implementation of child protection, safeguarding, and child rights interventions under the Literacy Home and Out-Scholarship Support Project in Makwanpur. The position will work closely with Municipal Governments, Ward Offices, schools, Child Rights Committees (CRCs), caregivers, and communities to strengthen local child protection systems and ensure vulnerable children have access to safe, protective, and supportive environments.

The Protection Officer will support the implementation of child protection awareness programmes, child safeguarding initiatives, capacity-building activities, municipal coordination, and referral mechanisms while ensuring quality monitoring, documentation, and reporting of project activities.
