Read this before you read the job.

This is not a desk job with occasional field visits. It is a field job with occasional desk time.

In August 2026, when the Bhotekoshi flood swept through Rasuwa, our team was on the ground assessing needs and delivering relief to affected households along the Trishuli corridor. The same week, other colleagues were working with municipalities on waste systems in Madhesh and Lumbini. That is what a normal month at CREASION looks like.

Since 2005, CREASION has recycled over 15000 tons of plastic, reached more than 21,000 young people, built over 1,662 community infrastructures, and handed Waste Mapbooks to nine local governments. None of that happened from an office chair. It happened because a few people refused to accept "it can't be done here."

We are looking for one more of those people.

You will be the person who turns a project plan into real change in a real community, and who can prove it with data.

What you will own (Key Result Areas)

Deliver 100% of planned field activities in your assigned project areas on schedule each quarter, with any delay reported and a recovery plan submitted within 48 hours.

2. Community and local government relationships

Build working relationships with ward chairs, municipal officials, cooperatives, schools, informal waste workers and women's groups. Hold at least [4+] structured stakeholder meetings per month and document every agreement in writing.

Maintain the project tracker so that anyone in Kathmandu can see exactly where every activity stands, any day of the week. Submit weekly progress updates every Friday, monthly reports by the 5th, and verified beneficiary data with photos, attendance, and GPS evidence for every activity.

When a partner cancels, a road closes or a budget line runs short, you find the next best path and inform your supervisor with options, not just the problem.

Be deployable within 72 hours to any district during a disaster or emergency response.

Capture at least two documented case stories per month that show what changed in people's lives, not just what activity took place.

You have worked at grassroots level before, whether through an NGO, a cooperative, a youth club, a campaign or your own initiative. You can sit on the floor of a community hall and speak with the same respect you would give a minister. You know how to run a meeting, keep a register, use a spreadsheet, and send a clear report from your phone.

You are stubborn in the right way. When something is blocked, you go back the next day. You care deeply about Nepal's environment and its people, and you want your work to be measurable.

Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree in Development Studies, Environmental Science, Social Work, Rural Development or a related field, with at least [2] years of field experience. Fluent Nepali required; Maithili, Bhojpuri, Tharu, Tamang or another local language is a real advantage. Two wheeler license and ability to ride on rough roads is required.

You need a fixed location and fixed hours. You wait to be told what to do next. You think reporting is someone else's job. You see a remote municipality as a punishment posting. You explain why something didn't happen before you try to make it happen.

We say this plainly because we would rather lose a hundred applicants than hire one wrong person.

A chance to do work you can point to for the rest of your life. Direct exposure to the board and senior leadership, with the freedom to shape how projects are delivered. Real responsibility from week one. A team that treats you as a co-builder of the organization, not a staff number.
