Job Description
Disabled Care Nepal (DCN) is a non-governmental, non-political, and non-profit organization working for the empowerment, rights, dignity, inclusion, and equal participation of persons with disabilities and their families. DCN works in livelihood, employment, financial literacy, digital banking, community-based rehabilitation, inclusive education, health, rehabilitation, and accessibility. DCN is currently implementing activities through its Nuwakot Branch to support persons with disabilities and their families affected by floods and other disasters. Applications are invited from motivated, responsible, and committed individuals for the following positions.

Required Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Development Studies, Humanities, Education, Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree will be an advantage. Basic understanding of disability, inclusion, gender equality, human rights, and community development. Good communication, coordination, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Good knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, and internet applications. Ability to prepare reports, letters, and other documents in Nepali and English, including Nepali Unicode typing. Ability to work respectfully with persons with disabilities, their families, communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders. Willingness to travel within Nuwakot as required. Knowledge of CRPD, SDGs, budgeting, training, and disability-inclusive development will be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Support the implementation and coordination of programs through the Nuwakot Branch. Conduct field visits and identify the needs of persons with disabilities and families affected by floods and disasters. Coordinate with local governments, health institutions, communities, OPDs, NGOs, and other stakeholders. Support program planning, monitoring, meetings, trainings, and community activities. Maintain program and beneficiary records and prepare required reports and documents. Support affected persons and families to access relief, rehabilitation, health, protection, and other essential services. Promote disability inclusion, accessibility, participation, and respectful communication in all activities.
