Job Description

About Prakriti Resources Centre (PRC)

Established in 2015, Prakriti Resources Centre (PRC) is a non-governmental organization committed to advancing climate justice, environmental sustainability, and resilient development. PRC actively bridges the gap between grassroots initiatives and policymaking, ensuring locally led adaptation and equitable climate solutions. With a strong foundation in research, policy advocacy, capacity building, and strategic collaboration, PRC works alongside government entities, civil society, the private sector, and international partners to address Nepal’s most pressing climate challenges. As PRC expands, it continuously refines its institutional policies, strategies, and partnerships to align with evolving national and global climate priorities. Through its existing Strategic Plan (2024–2028), PRC reaffirms its commitment to strengthening climate resilience, advocating for transparent climate financing, and empowering marginalized communities to shape Nepal’s climate future. More can be found at www.prc.org.np

PRC is looking for a Project Coordinator to support the Bridging Engagement Across Community and National Actions for Climate and Energy Resilience project, funded by Bread for the World, to build a low-carbon and climate-resilient future. The project objectives are to put in place policy and legal frameworks for effective implementation of the Nationally Determined Contribution; and to restore and make the livelihoods of the flood-affected Majhi community in Melamchi climate-resilient. This is a three-year-long project that will be implemented in Melamchi and Kathmandu. Detailed job descriptions are attached herewith.
