Request for Quotation for supply and delivery of Motorbike and Scooters

Heifer Project Nepal (HPN), established in 1996 as a separate entity from Heifer International Nepal, partners with local, national, and international stakeholders to empower communities. The organization focuses on promoting food security and improving livelihoods through sustainable agriculture and livestock farming.

HPN invites quotations from eligible and qualified firms/companies for the supply and delivery of motorbikes as per the specifications below.

Minimum 60 km range per charge under stated conditions; supplier to specify motor power and hill-climbing capability

Specify battery type, capacity (kWh), charging time and replacement cost; battery protection system required

Front disc brake, effective rear brake, lights, indicators, mirrors and horn

Original charger included, compatible with 220–240 V, 50 Hz supply

State separate warranty periods and kilometer limits for battery, motor, controller and charger

service and spare parts available in Nepal; specify nearest service center

Two-person scooter suitable for blacktop and moderately rough or gravel roads in Nepal

Engine

Minimum 124 cc, four stroke petrol engine

Electronic fuel injection (EFI/PGM-FI/FI or equivalent)

Transmission and starting

Automatic transmission with electric start

Ground clearance

Minimum 145 mm

Telescopic front suspension and rear shock absorber suitable for uneven roads

Tubeless tyres suitable for paved and gravel roads

Front disc brake with combined braking system (CBS/SBT/UBS or equivalent) or ABS

Headlight, brake light, indicators, mirrors and horn

Manufacturer’s warranty; authorized servicing and spare parts available in Nepal

Brand-new, suitable for blacktop and moderately rough/gravel roads in Nepal

Engine

Minimum 149 cc, single cylinder, four stroke petrol engines

electronic fuel injection (FI/EFI or equivalent)

Transmission and starting

minimum five speed manual transmission with electric start

Ground clearance

minimum 160 mm

suspension

telescopic front suspension and rear mono shock

Breaks

front and rear disk breaks with at least single channel ABS

Safety equipment

headlight, brake light, indicators, mirrors and horn

Manufacturer’s warranty; authorized servicing and spare parts available in Nepal

Evaluation Criteria: Each item will be evaluated separately using a quality- and cost-based method, considering compliance with the technical specifications, quality, and quoted price.

All rights to accept or reject partially/wholly a quotation, with or without giving any reasons, shall reserve with HPN. If deemed necessary, the company/firms shall be asked for modifications.
